Muddy Waters: Mind control, it's all about mind control. I started a trading business which allowed me to live out of doors sometimes for a week at a time. The Love shown by these "Wordly People" was quite an eye opener. Because of being able to do this activity for 25 years now, I can walk into a encampment with no food and water no boose and no shelter, stay well fed and drunk and kept dry at someone else expense. ( This is called camp dogging it) The Love is incredible. BTW I don't get drink at all, just making a point. And I have always returned their kindnesses. Go Figure! There are *good* people out there! Yes -gasp!- in the "world"!!
by Muddy Waters init is still a wonderful discovery and pleasant surprise to continually keep finding that there are some awesomely *good* people out there in the "world"!.
it's such a neat thing, this (slow, yet very rewarding!
) process of making new, non-jw friends.... i recently had my first meal at the home of one of these new wonderful people we've just met and i just must share this!

The truth just ain't the same any more.

they say the love is not there like it used to be, and it's become less personal.. anyone heard similar comments from oldies?.
we know the 'truth' ain't the truth in the first place, but i have a feeling there may be a lot of older ones hanging on just because it's all they've ever known, and it the alternative, that there is no paradise around the corner like they've always been taught us unthinkable..

Funny thing: My wife, NE, just said this same thing to 2 elders that showed up at our house Monday night UNANNOUNCED, [Sorry, we didn't have time to get our daughter's camera for this one]
But she told them that being in since mid-60's, her entire life, that it's just not the same and things have changed around the early 80's. And it was difficult & traumatic going thru the 1975 fiasco. They both said what fiasco? I don't remember any significant pronouncements. Just like it was a programmed response. So she sent them the 1969 Awake that said young ones would not even have time to go to college and get a career because we only had a few years left!

nonjwspouse, sorry, because of NW's health problem and the one elder I did not know, ( we are beginning to think that he was the CO, because the other elder was my cousin by marriage, only introduced him as John, no last name no introduction as a elder just moved in, no nothing!! Just JOHN! hope I'm wrong, but hey what a way to go,executed by CO). Because we did not know him we did not allow them in the house. They know we cannot walk into a KH because of the health problem, which in itself poses a problem. But I will explain more when I sit down to write the follow up visit to this post.

Very well done young one. Remember as a man myself, we tend to think more on the logical side of things, keep approaching your dad from the logical side of things, make his mind work logically. The "new lite" ( July 13) is a very good time to point out that this was apostate thinking 32 years ago, is it logical to think that God would now only make it New lite? or something like that.
NE and I did the very same thing Monday night when 2 elders just showed up, we mentioned the new lite and mentioned that it was considered apostate thinking 32 years go, the one elder, cold fish. The other (My cousin by marriage) was interested in checking that out.
Either way we're fried!!!

by Designer Stubble inpage 8 of the latest wt (insider version) has a whole page dedicated to the question whether it is appropriate to sit next to a disfellowshipped child at meetings.. not sure how to paste this in, but check jw.org.
perhaps someone can do this for me.. horrible, no words really on how pharisee like their cult grip and control has become!.
first of all, without any shame they are talking about disfellowshipped minors.

At a knife and tomahawk competition I was being a smart ass and started calling my shots, well all my called shots stuck, needless to say I did win, picture got posted in the local paper, and that night I was given the name in a ceremony. That's how I got the name. The picture, well I got aquainted with an actor,no one you would know, my friend would be the bartender in a westerns, he was in the movie Wild Hogs, 310 to Yuma and a lot of others , so having this connection, I was told a story about an upcoming movie about Kit Carson's life, and Steven Spielberg was directing it. So the picture was taken to provide a character reference. Well to say the least, this is when the last and big writers walkout happened, the whole project got scraped, for now. My friend has since then invited me to provide some props and appear in a show that the history channel did about Billy the Kid, He wanted me on the set Monday am with several prop bows and moccasins, all of this was to be done in a 30 hour time frame and with any foot sizes for horse riders who were cast yet. I told him It was not going to happen. Since then my friend has had to take a step back from movies, due to a Vietnam war injury. h He said he would let me know it the rumors start to fly again. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. MY GOD PEOPLE!!! Are the JWS really soooooo brain dead that they have to resort to asking this question!!!!!! It does show how little every Jdubs know about the bible, it's principals, how to apply said principals, and how much they rely on what The GB will dictate to them and how much control the GB has. But in reality, I feel it is not a question from a reader, it is a question of "HOW much control can WE exert in the congregation?"
